Knep in Fifield’s “Act/React” in Milwaukee

“Act/React” at the Milwaukee Art Museum features interactive installation art by six artists. What attracts our attention is that it features the premiere of “Healing Pool” (2008), a 20 by 30-foot installation by Bostonian Brian Knep. The museum describes it (pictured above) as a “floor of projected, colorful forms that reconfigure in the wake of passing visitors.” It builds upon work that Knep has shown around Boston in recent years.

The exhibit was guest curated by George Fifield of Boston, founder of the Boston Cyberarts Festival (the next one begins here in April) and a former curator at the DeCordova Museum.

“Act/React,” Milwaukee Art Museum, Oct. 4, 20089, to Jan. 11, 2009.
